This morning we got an early phone call from Arnold saying he wants to cancel tonight and take us out next Thursday night when he’ll be doing a raid in a township to apprehend a suspect in a sexual offences case. He thinks this will be more dramatic and relevant to the film that just a tour of Hillbrow. And he is right. But, it means we have to rethink the schedule and our plans for today. We rang Glory to see if we can go over there to do some filming with her and see how her petition is going. She went to court yesterday and found out that the hearing has been postponed to next February so she is very depressed. When we met her on Saturday she was so fired up by her anger. I want to find out about the swinging between anger and depression when you are dealing with something like this.
Glory just rang back and said we can go over there today. She is working on the petition and going to see the ANC Women’s League about it today and we can go with her. We rang the crew and they will be here in an hour and a half. It's great that they are so flexible, and don't get cross when we change plans so drastically like this.
