Web diary

The stage is now set for this story to play out. All the elements are in place and we just have to track the two parallel stories and see how they resolve. The one is the police investigation and the other is my own private investigation of the suspect.

We spoke to the investigating officer, Capt. Arnold Boonstra, who told us he’d been up all night and could we see him tomorrow. So we will meet him in the morning on our way to Tembisa for the community theatre festival. We have permission to film this meeting. I will hand him the statements and photocopies of the contents of the file that I have and the VHS copy of Laura describing what happened that night. He will use this to construct her statement.

So when we come back from Kruger next Wednesday, the official filming permission should be ready and Arnold should be ready to begin his investigation, and we will track that. Simultaneously I will continue to track down and try to get closer to perpetrator.
