Huge day today. Things are happening quickly. Today the case of the attack on my mother was re-opened. This morning we went to a meeting with Supt. Andre Neethling, the head of the Sex Offences Unit in Johannesburg. He knows Charlene very well and she facilitated this meeting. Andre listened very attentively to the story, and then agreed to re-open the case. He will assign one of his best investigating officers to the case, a Captain Arnold Boonstra.

Andre also agreed that the whole process can be filmed, but we have to get formal permission from Mary-Anne Botha, the head of Police Media unit in Pretoria. This is the same person who gave us permission last year to film at Norwood police station.
