Laura had her 60th birthday in a house in Coogee we were sharing as we tried to work out what to do, and how to help her settle into life in Australia. She was still very angry and didn’t want to go out during the day, as she thought she "looked like a monster". She was increasingly turning her anger more and more towards me. Finally I found professional help at a Sydney hospital, and they admitted her and found accommodation for her. She spent the next five years in a small flat in Sydney, living the life of a virtual hermit.
